Privacy Policy

Short version: Your recordings stay on your device. We process audio only for transcription, delete it immediately, and never store or share meeting content.

1. Who we are

Meeting Recorder Pro is an Android application (“the App”) that lets you record, transcribe, and summarize meetings. The service is operated independently and reachable at meetingrecorderpro.com.

2. What data the App collects

The App itself does not collect personal data. The following is processed:

Audio recordings — stored locally on your device only. Never uploaded automatically.
License key — stored locally on your device to verify your subscription.
Device identifier — a random ID generated on first launch, used only to enforce per-device license limits (maximum 3 devices per license). Not tied to your name, email, or phone identity.

3. Transcription

When you request a transcription, the audio file is uploaded to a private server running OpenAI Whisper. The server is operated exclusively for this App and hosted on a private NAS. The audio file is deleted immediately after transcription is complete. The resulting transcript text is returned to your device only and is never stored on the server.

4. AI Summaries

When you request a summary, the transcript text (not audio) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's enterprise API policy prohibits training on API data. The transcript is used solely to generate a summary and is not stored or logged by us. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

5. File sharing (optional)

If you use the Share feature with a download link, the files you select (transcript, summary, and/or audio) are uploaded to the server and stored for 7 days, then automatically deleted. You may set a password to restrict access. These files are accessible to anyone with the link (and password if set). Do not use this feature for highly confidential recordings.

6. Payments and billing

Subscriptions are handled by LemonSqueezy, an independent payment processor. We receive a license key and order confirmation — we do not receive or store your credit card details. See LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy.

7. Infrastructure and security

The backend server is accessed via Cloudflare (TLS 1.3 encryption in transit). The server is not accessible from the public internet except through Cloudflare's encrypted tunnel. No data is sent to Cloudflare beyond the encrypted network request metadata.

8. Data retention summary

Audio for transcription: deleted within seconds of processing
Transcripts and summaries: never stored on server
Shared files: deleted after 7 days
Device IDs: retained in an active license database; deleted when a license expires or is released

9. Your rights

Because we store minimal data, there is little to act on — but you can:

Delete your recordings at any time from within the App
Release your device from a license (contact support to free up a device slot)
Request deletion of your license record by contacting us

10. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post a notice in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
